Never Lose Hope

Hi Newcomers

A warm welcome to SoberRecovery, you've been blessed finding the wonderful people here, who will help guide you if you reach out and allow them to. Makes me smile so much, I think it's pretty amazing people from all around the world helping one another, goes to show the beauty our world holds.

I've been here almost 4 years, I didn't realise how much I needed to learn until I found SR, today I'm a much happier person, I was taught to learn how to accept things that I couldn't change, learned about forgiveness and letting things go, learned to stop blaming others, who done me wrong, today I've opened up my heart to free itself of the pain I've carried way to long. For myself my heart has been bruised, I was allowing the bruise to get larger over the years thinking there was no hope, it was all lies. I walk with a lighter step today, very grateful for the blessings around me learning to really enjoy the important things in life which has been staring me in the face.

Please do what you need to do to get yourself well, it can be a lot of work which pays off in the end, our sobriety needs to be nurtured every day, it's not such a rough job as the days turns into months, I know this because today I've put 300 days together, for the longest time I kept telling myself there was no HOPE, all lies. If I can do this anyone can, don't ever give up, it's life we'll always have things tossed our way which makes us so much stronger even if we're not aware of it at the time.

Sending my love out to you all, Never Love Hope.

Hugs......Denise (Wings Freed Today)

Hope

Like blossoms after Winter's frost
Hope springs forth
Inviting us to reach out
Whispering of comfort and warmth
Promise of security to come

Do not cast hope aside
For when all else is forsaken
When joy and faith have gone
Hope will remain to fortify us
Shelter us through the storm

When the clouds break
And light and heart return
Hope fades to the background
Not needed for the moment
But forgotten nevermore
