today at 4 on Oprah
I know many of you probably already know this but there is going to be a program on addicition on today's oprah show. If you go to her website you can see a preview to see if it is something you'd be interested in. One of the stories is on crack addiction and since that is my AS"s DOC I am going to watch. One thing I found interesting from the website is how hard it is for the addict to forgive themselves......somehow that statement just touched me so much. Often when I find it hard to forgive my son I think that if I can't forgive him how can I expect God to forgive me and show mercy, IMHO. I guess I feel like everyone deserves a chance, especially if they are struggling and trying....but of course that doesn't mean you have to be your addict's punching bag. Anyway this program is supposed to speak to recovery and I just thought some of you might be interested. dixie
