In San Antonio, TX....not quite in the middle of the country, but I know we have a bunch a texas folks here :-) Also that's only 5 months to save up the $$$.
Actually, everyone's ideas are good...I just need some time to save up for it. And Greet's idea of camping/cabins would be a lot less expensive (I think)
Mavis, I always hated/avoided flying until my son decided to go to college 1000 miles away. Now I don't even get nervous anymore....hardly :-) I'm sure we could help you out with that part of it. Not that I'm a world traveler or anything, never left the US, but know my way around at least 4 major airports now. Spent a lifetime one day in Dallas International. :-)
Still waiting to hear back from Rozied about that retreat in Maryland place.
