As long as she is physically too ill or suicidal, she will be in the hospital. Went thru this multiple times with my X husband.
It was actually advised to my husband by mental health professionals that if he ever drank too much and needed to be hospitalized to claim he was suicidal and they would take him in, detox him, and put him on the mental ward. It worked until he had enough attempts to get a judge to commit him involuntarily.
