When I went to court to get divorsed I filled papers to retain my MAIDEN name--for some reason it never wnet through--which screwed up all my tax returns that year,,,,so I ended up keeping the EX name--never had the time to go back and really didnt care...Now years later I am sorry I didnt persue this---I hate his name--now that my father is passed I realize the importance of a name----My AS and I are going to both change our names to my maiden name as my EX nor his family ever had any part in his life---why have their name--he is all mine---plus maybe a feeling of a new start for AS--to loosen the feelings of the connection with the sperm donor father-who was and is a loser....
