It's an important thing to remember to teach your kids. I was angry because all I had ever learned about love and relationships made absolutely no sense, I couldnt' make sense of it. Simple things that children learn. Treat people the way you want to be treated, sometimes we have to be patient, sometimes we have to give more than we get, if you love someone, they will love you back. Marriage takes work. Be honest or be punished. Be fair, share. These are the tools we come into it with. When none of it applies we get mad at the person, at least I did. It took a long time to understand that it was the symptoms of an addiction, a disease, whatever it is. I just wanted to know how to save myself and nothing i knew or had been taught seemed to apply.
