Situations with Friends
I have been sober 26 days. I have been calling my sponsor everyday! and working the steps with her. I have been hitting my knees and thanking God for my sobriety. I am truly doing well.
My issue is going out and having dinner with friends. I get uncomfortable when people who would normally order wine with dinner don't because I'm there.
It embarrasses me to order my fabulous juice concoction and have everyone else say "I'll have what she's having" when they ALL normally drink wine.
I am NOT going to drink just because people at the table drink wine. It doesn't work that way with me.
I know my friends love me but I wish they would just be normal. Am I crazy? THANKS for any comments.
