There are other options besides AA

Although a lot of people get sober by going to AA, I am like you and couldn't bare it. Too much religion, jargon, ego-deflation (for no good purpose that I could see)etc. I tried many different meetings and formats, but they all were basically the same. So I looked into "secular" recovery and found groups like Rational Recovery and SMART. You can also go to unhooked dot com to find some really great tools to help you stay sober. Support is important but it doesnt have to come from AA. Good luck!
