Yeah, I haven't found anything of much value besides AA. I do attend NA meetings too because 1) they consider alcohol to be a drug, which it is...2) I am an addict because my brain can't say no to mind-altering substances once I have started, and 3) I have done many many drugs to excess in my lifetime.

I find that NA is different, it has a different vibe (good one), but if you have never done any drugs other than alcohol it will be weird for you.

I need to ask why you say you "can't" do AA? What is it about sitting in a room and listening to other people for an hour that is so impossible? If you want to get better you are going to have to learn to handle people places and things that are not comfortable. Life is not very comfortable for most addicts, that tends to be why we use and drink.

I have investigated other treatment programs, but if they entertain the notion that you can "control" your drinking or "limit" your usage they are wrong. These are not options fro real alcoholics.

Good luck and keep coming back!
