Question mainly for UK members (but all members really)
Hi, my last drink was end June this year.
Someone at work has now recommended I consult my GP about it (I am in UK).
I have never been asked after my drinking or not drinking by my GP since I mentioned to him two years ago that I had been drinking and wondered whether he could refer me for "treatment". He said he couldn't because I had already detoxed in a basic way (it was probably over a week after my drink on that occasion). Friends say it is unreasonable to expect a doctor to ask after your condition if you have mentioned it before.
So my question is, what now might I expect from my GP on this?
