I have been active on some fronts. In terms of a job search, I have two offers. I am waiting for my background check results. I will go with the first employer that gives me the green light.
I am also going to AA meetings. I haven't been able to go daily, but I have gone to 2 this week.
I haven't really talked to my family. I brought up the subject with my brother, but he was quick to dismiss my concerns. I think he has a problem with alcohol as well. Fortunately, he has not suffered the same consequences as I have.
I admit I have a ton of questions. It seems like everyone I try to talk to (including my brother, my attorney, AA members, treatment center staff) doesn't have time to deal with me.
You may be pleased to hear that I am nearing 1 month of sobriety (for first time since high school-over 12 years ago).
I hope I am not misusing this forum. That is certainly not my intention. I am new to this, so please let me know if I am crossing any lines.
