Hi Im Sharon and Im an Alcoholic.

Glad to meet u findhigherpower and welcome to Sober Recovery.

Going back to the beginning when you first got sober is a good place to start.

Learning to crawl before you walk in recovery is necessary.

The First Step states:

WE ADMITED WE WERE POWERLESS OVER ALCOHOL AND OUR LIVES HAD BECOME UNMANAGABLE.

Some will suggest 90 meetings in 90 days. That would be another good way to refresh ur memory on recovery.

Find you someone comfortable to talk to. Someone to call if u feel like u want to drink because you dont want to drink, right?

Suggestions of changing people, places and things that would remind u of alcohol. In order to stay sober....i had to get all the alcohol out of my house, stay out of the clubs and leave those so called friends behind.

So u go to meetings....AA, STEP MEETINGS and BIG BOOK STUDIES.....
Sponsor.....
Change people, places and things.....
Read ur BIG BOOK.....
HP

I went to many many meetings when i got out of a 28 day rehab. They handed me the tools and knowledge of recovery and set me on the path of recovery to learn how to stay sober one day at a time.

Hold on tight, listen, ask for what u need ...help.....cuz u never have to go thru recovery alone.

Thanks for letting me share.
