Midwest, meal prepping for the week is a great idea. Do you prepare the meals for the week and refrigerate/freeze them?

I cleaned out my closet and organized things which feels good. I have somewhat embraced the minimalist lifestyle and it feels so good to not have too much 'stuff'.

Anna, cleaning out closets and rooms that aren't occupied are tasks I look forward to in 2020. For years now, I either close the door or pretend not to see "stuff" laying around. At least the frequented rooms, such as living room, kitchen and our bedroom are clutter free.

I food prep on the weekends for the upcoming week. It eliminates the dangerous question "What's for dinner?" If I've forgotten, I just look at the small whiteboard on the fridge door. M-Th dinners are written on it. I look at it the night before to see if anything needs to be taken out of the freezer.

Deciding the week's menu and then shopping for everything on the weekend keeps me sane, sober and at a healthy weight.

Have a great day ladies!

Anna- I have been deep cleaning everything in the kitchen this week! It does feel good to organize things and declutter. This week was the first time I meal prepped and I only made enough for three or four days and I just refrigerated it. It did come in handy!!

Ringo- I think I am going to continue to do some meal prepping and see what happens! That is great you have a meal prepping schedule.

Cleaned the stove today, went to the gym, and grocery shopping. Yesterday I gave myself a pedi.

Does trimming my toenails count as a pedi? (smile) I could use a real one.

Ringo- lol. Yes I would count that. I hope you go in and treat yourself soon.

I went to the gym today and treated myself to lunch. Organized a little bit and now having green tea.

Good morning gals,

Been a good week for me; hoping same for you. Looking forward to a 3-day weekend with Mr. Ringo. He's taking Monday off. I'm fortunate to get all federal holidays. (smile)

Thanks, I did enjoy the 3-day weekend. So glad that Mr. Ringo took yesterday off. I wore my WAC field jacket yesterday. We got in a 9am meeting, had the car serviced, walked the dog--a peaceful day.

Ringo- that does sound like a nice day off. The weather was bad here yesterday and it is this morning too. The roads are icy.

I am just having some coffee so far. I may have to exercise at home today.

Morning MW, would you get mad if I said it's around 60 degrees now (6:40am) and forecasted to be in high 60's, low 70's?

Have a great day all.

What a weekend! Much jet lag almost the whole weekend. Still, it was worth it. I got to meet a dear friend who lives in New Hampshire.

Have a great day!

We had snow here and cold weather, but the snow has melted and we are in the midst of more normal temps, thankfully. It's been in the mid to high forties so nice enough for November.

I made some delicious blueberry muffins today!

Is it just me, or are you guys surprised to find we're already in the last half of November? I have to start making some ToDo lists.

I hope you guys have a wonderful weekend!

Anna, Late November already! Yes, time has flown yet there are moments of it going agonizingly slow. (smile)

MW, I loved hearing how you are being of service to your mom. Brings back such sweet memories from when my mom was in need of my time and effort.

Being sober and abstinent, I was totally available for her. I am so very grateful.

Have a wonderful weekend friends!

Midwest, I hope your mother heals quickly from her knee-replacement. It will probably take some hard work on her part, and she's lucky to have you nearby and helping out.

Ringo, it's so nice that you have warm memories of helping your mom when she needed you.

It's really cold here today, but I'm doing extra work stretching and on weights to make up for a shorter walk.

Hello gals, I feeling the effects of poor choices and bad decisions this past weekend. Something is up with me, ate way too much bread and then had chips yesterday. Oh well, today is a new day. I'm glad I feel bad about it because that proves that is was indeed unhealthy behavior which I don't want to continue!

Ringo, it's good the way you keep on top of things with your nutrition and diet and that you take action to make changes when needed. But, I hope you don't feel bad for too long.

I have gotten a lot of Christmas shopping done in the last couple of days and it feels good. Having to mail some of the gifts gave me a push to get started shopping early.

Thanks Anna. I feel ok. Grateful that I get right back on track after a slight detour.

Had a lovely Thanksgiving yesterday. Got out of sorts a few days before; actually had a resentment that I had to get rid of quick. Resentments are our #1 offender so says the Big Book. Resentments take us out more than anything other emotion/feeling.

Have a great weekend all.
