Hello Gals,

I find that the better I take care of myself, the more I am available (and pleasant!) to others.

Ah, going to bed early... Wait, I do that almost every night! It's a great feeling getting into a comfy bed after a productive day, thanking my Higher Power for helping me be of use to others.

In recovery, I don't drag people down with negativity--quite the opposite--my aim is to uplift those around me, be useful & helpful while enjoying this beautiful life that is a gift from God.

Lucky you, MW.

It's sunny but breezy and not all that hot.

Have a great weekend all!

Hey MW! Another ordinary yet delightful weekend filled with AA, OA, TV, housework, laundry, menu planning, grocery shopping, food prep, walking the dog and spending time with Mr. Ringo. How did I ever get so blessed...

Midwest, oatmeal is my favourite breakfast.

Ringo, I love your positive attitude about life.

The summer is flying by! My son & family visited last week and it was great. We had BBQ's, picnics, lots of swimming and just relaxing and spending time with my wonderful family.

Anna- I was wondering what you were up too. I am glad you were enjoying time with family!! It sounds like it was a fun week. Well one good thing about fall and winter coming up is all the comforting food we get to make. Soap, muffins, bread, and oatmeal. lol

Ringo- that sounds like a fun weekend. Canít beat it.

I am about to give myself a pedi.

MW, I got my toenails done Saturday. I had to! I was starting to look like a wolf.

Can clean protein and vegetables be comfort food? (smile) I'm happy for those that can eat comfort food and then stop to go on with their day. Not me.

It is going to be amazing when you retire Ringo. I am looking forward to hearing about the pool workouts.

Dec 12th can't get here soon enough! But I live in today, not tomorrow or yesterday. And today is darn good--thanks to God, sobriety & abstinence.

Ringo, I'm glad today is good but I'm excited for Dec 12th to arrive for you. I feel like you are mentally prepared for retirement and have ideas about what to do with your time.

Midwest, I hope you're enjoying your summer.

I spent some time taking care of my flowers today, which I love doing, and they look so beautiful. I hope they last for another month or so. Tomorrow my grandkids invited me to a music concert they are performing in - granddaughter plays the drums and grandson plays the guitar. Should be fun!

Anna- the flowers sound beautiful and I hope you have fun at the music concert with your family.

I am going to take a shower, put on comfy clothes, and read.
