Kitchen is finished and I'm exhausted and I'm covered in grout. I'll try to take a photo later.

I hope everyone is having a good Friday.

welcome to the thread Changing and best of luck on adding the little one!! That is super exciting. please keep us updated.

I did my chores first then I went to the gym , put on a cute dress after, and made a healthy lunch. I made a point not to wear myself out. I notice if I wear myself out it causes some anxiety.

Welcome Changing. Great thread for friendship, support and a little bit of bragging (smile).

Congrats Anna! Happy to hear kitchen renovation is complete. Has to be a great feeling. Enjoy it!

MW, rest days are very important.

Took care of myself (and my house and husband) this weekend. Altho I can admit to you folks that I had popcorn Saturday night and had bread with lunch Sunday. Two things that I haven't done in a long time.

Physically I don't notice any changes but it's messed with my head. As a recovered OA, I gotta ask myself, was eating starch worth the mental gymnastics later on?

Thankfully I talked with my sponsor after work yesterday and I so appreciate her wisdom and experience! It wasn't the bread itself that was messing with my head, it was that the decision to have it was last minute, not planned, not included in my food plan for the day.

An addict such as myself has no business making 'on the fly' decisions. May I always remember how very precious are my connection with the Higher Power, sobriety and abstinence.

Midwest, your steadiness in your daily program always impresses me. Your recovery is wonderful to see.

Changing, Congratulations on the birth of your baby boy! I hope that you and he are both doing well.

Ringo, I'm glad your sponsor was available with her wise advice. Your attitude inspires me.

I had a beautiful summer day and enjoyed every minute of it. It's hot and humid, so my walks are shorter but more frequent. I'm re-dedicating myself to weight-lifting for the sake of my bones.

Congratulations Changing! So happy for you and your family. Blessings!

Anna, glad to hear you taking up weight lifting. Osteoporosis runs in my family. I'm hoping the resistance training I've done over the years will help postpone it some. My mom lost 5 whole inches! She was in chronic pain the last ten years of her life. Was very proud of her for not becoming addicted to pain meds.

MW, keep up the good work!

A new sponsee and I got started this morning--only to cut the phone call short because she refused to do a writing exercise I had suggested. One that I did at the beginning which was very helpful to me. I gave her the exercise a few days via email and her waiting to tell me she wasn't going to do it until this morning's call (when we were to go over it) made me wonder a bit. Anyway, I'll be speaking with my sponsor shortly to get her experience, strength and wisdom on the subject.

Still going to be a great day! I enjoy very much riding my bike to work, which was yesterday. Today is spin and TRX.

Thanks for listening to my saga.

I did have a good day yesterday despite being disturbed early in the morning. Did a 10th Step on it and got back to being of service.

Skipped TRX cuz my gut was acting up. I suffered through 75 minutes of spin. Sometimes, I wonder about myself (smile).

Take care all!

Ringo - I hope your stomach is feeling better. I hope everything works out okay for the new sponsee.

Anna- thanks for the nice compliment and that is great about the weight lifting!

I gave myself a pedicure, swam and did cardio, and went to the store for healthy snacks. Also I set outside but only for 30 minutes. It is super hot.

MW, the potential sponsee decided to work with someone else. No problem; I'll just go on to the next prospect.

Working with others helps me to grow up, wear my 'big girl panties', and hone skills for staying on my side of the street. Besides, whether one recovers or not is between her and her Higher Power. A sponsor is only a guide that offers the solution.

MW, I did have a good weekend.

Nothing out of the ordinary. I really enjoy the tasks and chores of a typical weekend. Also the meetings, seeing friends, walking the dog, sharing a good meal with Mr. Ringo.

Hi MW! Love keeping my eyebrows looking good. On days that I keep the make-up to a minimum, I at least touch up the eyebrows. (smile)

Hey Anna, you enjoying your new kitchen?

Enjoying a patch of great days filled with love and service. And, of course, exercise but not too much. Hoping for a quiet evening with Mr. Ringo.
