Ringo- that is great! I am sure it will be fun having someone to ride with.

I walked 2.5 miles today.

Hello beautiful ladies.

Ringo you are one busy lady.

MW use a sheer, sparkle polish over your main colour on your toes, they won't chip. Bit of a bee with an itch to get off But no chips.

Anna be careful you do not get blown away! That wind was something else.

The ice is going out on the lake, finally. Work, kids, critters, husband all good. Doing yoga, got a new bike ordered. A new trek, might even have made DH a convert, he's a dual shock mountain guy, might get him over to a single shock hybrid. He doesn't do the trail riding as much and single shocks are about a grand cheaper.

Hair getting done tomorrow, desperately need my eyebrows done. Had a bunch of projects come up, kiddos are doing competitions every weekend, so been neglecting ma visage. As a result I saw a photo last week, smile great, hair ok (outdoors and windy), clothes awesome, make up good, wtf are the caterpillars above my eyes. Not just that, each individual hair seemed to go a different way and a minor scar I have in my eyebrow was acting like a part. I would rather have hairy legs than bad brows. Of course last week at yoga I had both, none of my workout pants were clean, so I wore shorts, in the snow. Then I got so into a position, I farted in class, not a ladylike squeaker or a silent one I could pretend someone else did, my arse turned into a tuba for half a minute.

...I am a mess lol

Have an awesome weekend

MLH- thanks for the tip about the sparkle top coat! I will have to get one. I am glad you are doing good. I am sure you will get those eye brows taken care of. That is hilarious about yoga class. I can see that happening a lot with moving in strange positions. I would have been bright red.

I am doing good. I got my thirty minutes of exercise in yesterday and I plan on reading today.

I have ave been telling myself “it is okay to let it be okay” and telling myself even if people don’t receive me or like me it is okay too. It doesn’t change who I am. I think that’s hard for a woman.

Glad for the "thorough" update MLH (smile).

MW, The lady I met on Saturday was just delightful. I look forward to conversation with her in the car.

The more I love and accept myself and the closer I am to God, the less I have for the need for others to like me. Sure, I prefer people to like me because it makes my life easier (which sounds selfish of me...not saying anyone else is selfish.)

I agree Midwest. Girls used to be raised to be nice, polite, sweet, but thankfully that has changed. Oprah used to call that 'the disease to please'.

And, Ringo, I agree with your comment, too. When we are comfortable with ourselves, it's not important that everyone like us. I love Pink's lyrics in I Am Here, 'I open up my heart, You can love me or not'

Hello Friends,

What a great week! I'm feeling better than usual because I've just started a Big Book study & going thru the 12 Steps with a new sponsor. For the next three months, one hour twice a week we'll be on the phone (she's in another time zone) doing the work. And I've got homework to do! I love it.

And I have to STOP losing weight (3 lbs this week). Time to add more complex carbs and I've cut out one cardio class--at least for awhile until my weight stabilizes.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Midwest, I'm glad you like Pink's song. It's one of my favourite walking songs, " I am here, I've already seen the bottom, so there's nothing to fear." I love, love, love those words.

Ringo, you sound so motivated!

We have a few family birthdays this month, so it's busy and fun, and lots of birthday cake.

Best thing I've been doing for myself is a lot of walks with Billie, now that the weather is much nicer. I so enjoy my walks with her. Watching her just being a dog is fun. The careful way she sniffs each place, her nose twitching. It must be fun to be my dog. She certainly acts like she's having fun.

least, great to hear from you. Lady the Coonhound sniffs like crazy! Yesterday I took her for two walks because when I wasn't looking, she got into the cat's food bowl. That dang foodhound!

Had a full day Saturday as we did all the chores that day that we normally spread over Sat & Sun. I had to no problem taking it easy yesterday (Sunday).

Anna, I am motivated. God or something's been tugging my heart for a few months to for me to go deeper in recovery. I'm not surprised that this is happening as I get ready to retire.

Anna- I love that line in the song too!

Least- that is great that you and Billie are getting out and walking. It is nice to see you on this thread.

Ringo- I am glad you had a nice weekend and are going deeper in your recovery and helping others with theirs. / I hope you are enjoying those starchy carbs and that you are feeling good.

Yesterday I did laundry and then I hiked 4 miles outside. It was beautiful.

The minor tweaks to my food plan and working with a new sponsor has me feeling on the top of the world. My weight stayed steady from last week's weigh in and yesterday. I still have the previous sponsor in my life. She means a great deal to me. Our relationship is morphing into friendship.

Great day yesterday! How about another one today?! Rode bike to work. Temperatures going up.

Besides several dog walks today, I just took Billie with me and treated us to Wendy's nuggets and fries. I always give Billie the little fries and a bite of each nugget and she loves them. She is so spoiled.

Happy Easter Lovelies!

Time to buy a new bicycle. My first appointment is 10am. I have been fitted, now it is all about the ride. Also switching from a hybrid to just road. Wish me luck! Not sure if I can bring home today or have to wait.
