Thanks Anna. Remember the word 'détente" back in the Cold War between the Soviet Union and the USA? Well, so far with the cats and the dog we haven't even gotten to détente yet. Lady is curious and the cats are frightened.

Mags, I hope you get to feeling better too.

I'm going to check out 'The Fall' too! (thanks Anna)

Hi MW!

I have something to reflect on this weekend and to journal on: This last episode with my stomach brought up the thought that when I was in my food and weight addiction, my stomach ruled my world. Stomach aches back then were different from the ones today. If my stomach wasn't flat, I felt worthless, etc. And now that I'm recovered and at a very healthy weight, my stomach still rules my world because of these belly aches. I never know when they'll happen or what causes them. One thing they do is bring me even closer to the Higher Power; with HP, I accept them and remind myself that "That this too shall pass".

Mags- I hope you are feeling better.

Anna- that’s is great you signed up for the class again. It is so nice to be able to do things like that.

Ringo- I hope you felt good this weekend and that the kittens are doing well.

I exercised today and now I am having some green tea. I dyed my hair too.

Ringo, it must be frustrating to deal with tummy issues that come and go for no apparent reason. I imagine you've tried various foods and combinations of foods to no avail. I love that you find something positive in the situation. Fingers crossed that your cats warm up to Lady.

Midwest, good for you drinking green tea. I've tried it a few times, but I don't stick with it, though I know it's so good for your health.

Mags, I love yoga. It makes me focus on my body which gets me out of my head. I do it at home, too, from a Youtube video. There is a Hot Yoga place near me which seems really busy. They keep the temperature at 30 C which is 86F. That is not for me.

I do FaceTime with my son & daughter-in-law & 3 grandkids on Sundays and it's so much fun. Either they all talk at once and try to out-shout each other or no one says anything and they focus on eating breakfast. Today was loud.

Progress, albeit slow, is happening with the kitties, Cozy and Babs.

Really good day yesterday although a bit slow at work. That could change at any minute! Going to yoga today because Thursday is movie day at work. Yeah, that sounds strange. It's an annual morale event in that we're released early to go to a matinee with our co-workers. Don't know what we're seeing. My vote is for Captain Marvel.

Anna- FaceTime is great for keeping up with family. It sounds like you had a lively conversation. lol

Ringo- I hope you enjoy the yoga and the movie on Thursday. That is great the kittens are making progress.

Nothing new here. Just waking up after sleeping 12 hours. I must have needed it. lol

Hi MW. Yesterday turned out to be a rest day--no yoga. A meeting at work went into overtime.

With the time change and getting home a bit earlier from work, I've been walking Lady after we eat and before she has dinner. Mr. Ringo joins us sometimes.

Looking forward to TRX & Zumba today.

I exercised and went to walmart for dark chocolate. Haha

MW, it's Lady we take for a walk. Lady the Coonhound. Ringo is my dear boy kitty (Siamese Lynx) that past at 17.5 yrs old. Now we have Cozy and Babs, two Calico sisters.

Going to Captain Marvel today with a co-worker. Feeling really good.

Ringo- I apologize...I know that. I don’t know why I typed Ringo instead of Lady. I am glad you are feeling good. I hope you have fun at the movies.

I walked a hour .

Ringo, I'm glad things are progressing with Lady and the kittens. Maybe they'll become best friends eventually. And, movie day sounds fun. I've heard Captain Marvel is a good movie.

Midwest, dark chocolate is a staple at my house.

We did a lot of renovations before we moved into our condo a couple of years ago. We didn't do anything with the kitchen other than replace the old appliances. So, we are beginning to look at counter tops and cupboards tomorrow.

Anna, any kind of house renovation (or a road trip for that matter) can put stress on a relationship. My husband and I joke about it. (Thankfully we do pretty good.) I bet you will too.

MW, hope you have a good weekend.

I'm going to a women's 12 Step conference tomorrow in which I'll see friends from where I used to live. What feels so good is that I didn't have to diet, lose weight, exercise or go buy a new outfit in order to "look good" for them. Because I'm maintaining health and fitness, all I have to do is show up! And I don't have to impress anyone but my Higher Power.

Ringo, I so agree with you about house renovation putting strain on relationships, it took years for my husband and I to chose the right bathroom suite! We got there in the end though, thankfully!

Midwest, thanks, I’m getting there, cold seems to be lingering on for ages!

Have a good weekend Midwest, Anna, Ringo and everybody here.

Hi Gals, the women's 12 Step conference I went to Saturday was wonderful! I saw old friends which is lovely but it does bring up emotions and memories.

I have a tiny confession to make, I rather enjoyed being slender and looking younger than my 61 yrs when seeing one particular lady. Oh, this is embarrassing. I didn't stay in the thought thankfully. I asked God to remove it and told on myself to a friend who was neutral to the situation.

God still has lots of work to do on me...

Mags- I hope you are feeling better. The flu and colds this year has been hanging on for a long time. I know three people who have been sick for 21 days or so and they still are not 100 percent.

Ringo- I am glad you had a good time at the conference and that you take good care of yourselves. In our type of society it is easy to get caught up in that comparison trap. Haha not that I think you do that but it is easy to do. I have to make sure I don’t do that because I really don’t like when women look me up and down. Which happens a lot since I lost 60lbs when I quit drinking. I feel like I am constantly measured.

I have been helping my DH with work and I walked three miles. Happy to be busy. Yesterday I had anxiety but today I feel amazing. It is sooo weird.

MW, I don't know about you, but my moods can change in a second! Thank goodness I remember "this too shall pass".

Ever hear of the phrase 'Compare and Despair"? If I start comparing it's likely I'll come out the loser. Or the opposite: Feeling superior. Both are unhealthy. No need to compare when God is at the center of my life.

I don’t think I have heard that phrase. Thanks for sharing.

I walked two miles and did some strength training. I got more accomplished too. I did my eye brows too. Haha my gosh I look a lot better.

Oh, I have to pluck and work on eyebrows almost daily!

Heard recently at spin class that can apply not only to physical fitness but also the spiritual journey most of us are on:

- It doesn't happen in a day; it happens daily.

- It it's not a challenge, you won't change.

I like those quotes Ringo!

I walked a few miles on the treadmill and felt like I needed to journal...so going to do that now.

Hey MW. Happy Friday to you and anyone reading this thread w/o posting.

The one constant in my life that I do each day is keep God close. I do this for myself but also for others as I am much nicer to be around when my heart is full of the Higher Power's love, grace and mercy.
