Good morning!

I was at my moms last week. We had a lot of fun together. The weather was pretty nice so I thought I would go see her before it turned cold again.

Ringo- I am sorry to hear about the real Ringo. I know you will miss him but have a lot of good memories of him too.

Yinzer- walking and eating chocolate....that sounds like something I would do. lol

Mags- it is so nice to see you on this thread!! Congrats on retirement.

Yesterday I walked 3.5 miles.

Mags, I did have a good day, thanks. In recovery, I've learned that I can have more than one emotion and be okay.

MW, yes, wonderful memories.

Been going retro to work yesterday and today! For some reason went through a drawer of jeans, found two pairs I'd forgotten about. Yesterday I wore a pair of Ryka hi-top aerobic shoes from early 90's (yes, I still have them!). Today I have on a World Gym top also from late 80's, early 90's--the kind with extra wide neck so one side can slope over a shoulder. Of course since I'm at work and it's chilly, I have one a warm shirt under it! Even wearing earrings that are not exactly from this century (smile).

Ringo- I am sure you look great! I am picturing that show “saved by the bell”.

I went to the gym and did 90 minutes. Doing laundry now and drinking water. I ate plenty too.

Good to be here on this thread too, Midwest.

Ringo, wow I remember those tops, but everything comes around, especially fashion wise. I bet it looks great! ❤️ Gosh, I have a sheepskin 3/4 length coat I bought when I was around 19. I still have it, though don’t wear it now sadly, I get too hot in it! Oh and I’m 61 this year! Where did the years go! I really need to clear out my wardrobes, pronto!

Midwest, pleased you’re drinking plenty water after the gym.

I’m sat in the quiet of the day, nearly 5am with a nice cup of coffee, I fed my cats and they’ve gone out, but it must be cold as they keep running back in , through the cat flap, and looking at me, as if I can make it warmer outside!

Mags- I love the early morning when everything is quiet!

Ringo- I hope you enjoyed your monthly facial! I think it is nice you treat yourself.

Yesterday I cleaned house, went grocery shopping, to the gym, and got everything done on my list. Felt great!!!

MW, isn't it great to get your to do list checked off?

Not much to report gals. Really good week. Sometimes doing 'one thing for myself' is helping others.

Was very happy to hear from a sponsee who had been essentially sponsoring herself (not calling, etc). She's still sober and says she wants to get back into the steps. I've heard this before. She's coming to the house next Tuesday and has promised to call once a week. Hope she means it! I miss her when she goes solo.

Ringo- yes it feels good to be caught up on things. I hope everything goes well on Tuesday...it sounds like you both would be good for each other.

MLH- good to see you pop in. I hope you are doing well!

Mags- thanks...you have a great weekend too.

Went to the gym yesterday and will today too. I need to give myself a pedicure too.

I did finally get that pedicure in and I am going to swim class this morning. Then I am going to be lazy and watch hulu on the couch.

Hello All. Happy Hump Day. Rainy here, windy too.

Met with a sponsee last night. I'm usually pumped when seeing her. She's such a miracle of what is possible in recovery and giving one's life to the Higher Power.

Ringo- I am glad you were able to meet with your sponsee. I hope she continues to do well.

I went to the gym and grocery store. I plan on going to midweek services tonight too.

Midwest, I am jealous of your 3.5 mile walk. I am dreaming of warm enough days for a long walk.

Ringo, I always admire how you give back by working with sponsees. And, I love that you and Mags have some retro stuff. We have moved SO many times and downsized considerably in the last 3 or 4 moves, so things have been recycled when possible or tossed. I'm almost doing a minimalist thing.

MLH, good to see you popping in.

I missed my fitness class last week due to horrible weather, so even though the weather was horrible again today, I went. It's about a 20 minute walk, so not far, but challenging with the snow and ice. But, I'm so glad I went.

Anna, you may call it retro, my hubby calls it junk!, I’ve really gotta make a start on it. With spring around the corner it may inspire me to have a good clear out!

Anna- it is going to be 50 F here today. I would love to go on a hike but it is so muddy! That is great you still went to exercise class. The older I get the more worried I am about slipping on ice. I am glad you made it!

Mags- I need to do some spring cleaning too. Maybe I'll go through somethings today. I just need to keep moving on it. I did a lot in my kitchen a few weeks ago. It felt good. I think getting motivated is the hardest part.

Yesterday I did swim class and walked 3 miles on the treadmill. Happy Valentines day ladies!!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone~

Anna, I look forward to downsizing, cleaning out closets, etc in early 2020. About the sponsoring, it's kinda my mission in life. I don't have grandchildren nearby or any family members other than Mr. Ringo. And friends are hard to come by (another thing to look forward to in retirement).

For now I'm doing a good job of not repeating a blouse each week at work. Yes! Really, I have that many clothes. Once I wear something that hasn't been worn in a long time, I put it aside for charity. Not that it actually leaves the house...
