Aw Ringo I have been missing you guys!

Barbs how are you finding keto?

Anna are you going to the aurora borealis festival at Ontario Place?

Midwest I love you keep so busy and sound so positive.

I am laid up a bit. I somehow hurt my back, could not drive for a couple days. A solid week of spasms. I have a pinched nerve that got inflamed and set off these demon spasms. At least I can catch up on SR!
Transitioning roles too. OMG my new office, I want to live there. Private bathroom, big screen tv and sofa, I am sure there is a desk too, but who cares! I have a tv and sofa. I gave into muscle relaxants so I can at least work.

Love reading what you all are up to!

Hey Gals, I'm feeling a tiny bit better.

MW, enjoy your busy weekend.

Good to hear from you MLH. Too bad about the back. But love hearing about your new office.

Anna, hope you get to take a walk this weekend. My hound dog is aching for a walk. More rain tomorrow.

I hope everyone had a good weekend. I hunkered down Saturday; stayed home to rest hoping the cold would takes its course. Able to go to a meeting and grocery shopping on Sunday; that was it. Laid low rest of yesterday.

Grateful to be at work even if I'm not at my best.

MLH- it is good to hear from you. I am sorry to hear about your back. The new office sounds swanky!

Ringo- I hope you continue to feel better. I hate when I get a cold that slows me down that much. It is hard when you are used to feeling good and being active.

I exercised 30 minutes yesterday and I did a face mask! I'll exercise in a little bit too. This month is going to fly by. I can't believe it. I am looking forward to the new year.

MLH, I'm sorry your back is so painful and hopefully the muscle relaxants will help you move around a bit more. Your new office sounds amazing!

MW, I agree with you that the time is flying by!

Ringo, your cold sounds like it was nasty. I hope you're feeling better.

I started making some Shortbread Cookies for Christmas. My son and family are coming for Christmas, which is so soon. Rocky, the Vizsla pup my daughter & fam have, weighs 50 lbs now and is only 5 months old. He is so much fun! And, I have been walking almost every day. We had a brief cold spell but it's not bad now.

Anna, Vislas are so beautiful! I envy you getting to play with him.

Gals, I actually was able to do spin class yesterday. I'm still sick but a little bit better each day. News report said because of November smokey air those who do get sick will experience worsened symptoms and stay sick longer.

Hope to sweat again today (spin) with the hopes of sweating out this cold. In any case, I'll feel better once I get my body moving again.

Anne- I love shortbread cookies. I am glad you have been able to get outside and walk.

Ringo- I always feel better when I am moving too. I can only sit still so long when I am sick. lol. I hope you have been able to do your normal schedule.

I exercised the past few days and I did some affirmations in the mirror. It sounds silly but I think they do help.

two and a half years sober today! I get a kick out of tracking those milestones still.

I hope everyone has a happy Wednesday.

Good afternoon ladies.

Ringo, I'm glad you're feeling better. I had the flu a few weeks ago and it was horrible.

Anna, vizsla puppies are so beautiful. I almost got one but my husband didn't think we could keep up with all the exercise it needs. Cookies …there not allowed in my house

MW, congratulations on two and a half years, well done!

I skipped the gym this morning. Stayed home to keep an eye on the puppy, Harley (she ate a sock and had to have emergency surgery). She's doing well and Lucy is being a mother hen, lol. Plan on going to yoga tonight once hubby gets home to supervise the pups

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day.

I exercised this morning!

I will be busy the next several days. I have family coming over early next week and I am going to attempt to make my first cheesecake.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!

MW, you're brave; I'd probably buy a cheesecake. Bet it comes out delicious!

Barbs, aw, poor Harley. Feel better little one!

I went to yoga yesterday and it felt wonderful. Still a little sick but able to do most activities.

Went to a women's only meeting and threw up all the stupid stuff I had been keeping in the past two weeks. Felt great! Also forced myself to eat better since I have been slacking in that dept lately.

Ringo- I am glad you are getting back to your activities! I will let you know how the cheesecake turns out.

Soberviviente- welcome to this thread! I am glad you were able to attend a meeting and eat some! I hope you are doing good today. There is nothing worse than a loss appetite. I hate that feeling.

I am doing good. Not much self care today but a shower and washing my hair!
checking in here counts too!

Good morning ladies.

Welcome soberviviente. Glad you were able to attend a meeting. It always feels good to unload a bit

MW, sometimes we just need a day to slack off. Hope you enjoyed it

MLH, the keto diet, hmmmm… unfortunately I have had to modify a bit. My blood sugar was dropping too low and I was passing out.

Ringo, hope you are feeling better. I always love a yoga day!

I am happy to say that Harley appears to have made a very speedy recovery. Nothing seems to keep that girl down. lol.

After a very stressful weekend, I was happy to get to spin class this morning.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Hi Everyone! Welcome Soberviviente.

My lingering cold is almost gone. Back doing all regularly scheduled activities. Just blowing my nose every so often.

Don't want to write a dissertation here but I've been out of sorts lately (the cold was just one thing). Anyway, after praying to God for specific help and guidance I went to my regular Sunday meeting. After it, I asked a friend to pray for me. I admitted to obsessiveness (still sober and abstinent but in dangerous territory) creeping back in. I kept to all commitments and woke up this morning feeling so much better.

The vulnerability and honesty of telling someone face to face what is really going on with me has tremendous benefit!

Ringo, it's so good that you are proactive and on top of things. I hope you continue to feel better.

Barbs, I'm glad Harley is doing well.

MW, I have such a weakness for cheesecake.

I'm so glad the weather has been okay here, so I've been doing my usual walk most days. MrAnna and I had a weekend getaway, which was really nice.

Anna- I am glad you were able to have a weekend getaway! It is nice you guys take time out for each other.

Ringo- I am glad you confided in someone and are on top of things. I will keep you in my prayers too.

Barbs- I am glad you changed up the diet a little bit so you won't pass out! I haven't passed out in a long time but it is an awful feeling.

The cheesecake turned out good. It is for my brother so I won't know how it taste. It did crack but not really deep. I also made a key lime pie and it is awesome! I did sneak a piece out of it. haha.

I plan on going to the gym this morning before company comes. I had a yogurt protein smoothie for breakfast.

Hey gang, glad to see such positive posts.

Spin yesterday followed by yoga was amazing. I worked an extra hour to make up for being gone.

I haven't decorated the house (yet?) but I do love wearing festive, Christmas jewelry and red clothes in December.

Hi Sisters.

I've been missing in action for a few weeks. I've been busy with end of semester stuff, although I have been popping in to read if not post. It's funny that even though we don't *know* each other in real life I always mentally cheer you all on when things are good and send virtual hugs when things aren't. You all matter to me.

Now I'm trying to get my house holiday-ready with a major clean. I don't want to overwhelm myself so I'm planning one room per day, but even after spending hours on my living room yesterday I'm not quite done in that room. I did move all the furniture to get at all the fur balls hiding everywhere, and I know I will feel so good when it is all done. I think that qualifies as *something for me*

Have a wonderful day everyone.

HI Helen! Oh yeah, moving furniture when cleaning is definitely a 'feel good thing'. You matter to me too. Everyone does.

Wonderful facial yesterday after work. The esthetician has become my friend and now she is my sobriety sister. How cool is that?

Today I look forward to TRX and Zumba. And helping to make a delicious dinner with Mr. Ringo. He's preparing the brats and I'm braising different colored chard w/ onions. Cutting the chard into ribbon-like pieces.
