Anna - clean windows are definitely tops on my happy list It feels so good in the spring to clear all that winter sludge away!

This morning's insanity:

Me: Hey babe, I found a car for your Mom to have here, a nice little Volkswagon (we want his Mom to come up 3-4 times a year and we want to get her a car so she isn't trapped at the house)
Son: Nanny gets a Volkswagon, that sounds like a good car for me
Me: You have a car
Son: Give Nanny my car and buy this one for me
Husband: You haven't taken your hockey bag out of that car since September, I got in it to move it last month and almost threw up, we are not putting my mother in that car.
There is nothing wrong with my son't car, it was dh's commuter for 5 years, sure it's old, we bought it new in 2012 and it is covered in hydraulic oil and fast food containers and gym clothes and hockey and you know what, it's pretty gross. Baby boy is so put out Nan will have a nicer car than him. We would take it out, but the car also has been race tuned ROFL! That's why sonny wants it

The morning conversations in our house make my heart happy!

Anna, thanks for motivating me. Perhaps I'll do some housework this weekend. (smile) And thanks for starting a new Part to this wonderful thread.

MLH, good reality check for your son. Getting him a new car would send the wrong message (in my world).

Zumba was hard as usual yesterday. Rarely anyone under the age of 60 in a class taught by a skinny 30-something! I'm not dissing the instructor; I love her. But dang, she moves fast.

Good morning Sisters.

Thanks for the new thread, Anna

MLH I had my rubber boots on yesterday as well - with socks lol. We had heavy rain before it turned to snow later in the day.

Just enjoying my first coffee and contemplating my plans for the day. This is one thing I love about being retired from my previous job - I have time to do this rather than having to be at work for 7am.

Happy Friday everyone

Helen, I do look forward to non-rushed mornings. I retire Fall 2019. Now I can say 'next year'.

Took the afternoon off yesterday for my monthly facial. My esthecition (sp?) and her family are away this weekend so we couldn't do it on Saturday. I let her experiment on me sometimes. She has a new chemical peel product that packs a punch! I mean for a couple minutes it stings big time. I breathe deeply and remind myself it'll end soon.

Right now, I itch and doing my best not to touch my decollage (sp?), neck or face.

And how is your day?

I'm new here, and I'm not sure how to find new posts, or where I should post.
Do we just post each day about something nice we're doing for ourselves? Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place. All advice is highly appreciated.

I'm so glad to see you here.

You can post here as often as you want. It's a bit of an incentive to remember to be kind to yourself. It's not always easy to do.

This is an earlier part of the thread and it'll give you an idea of things we do and talk about:

Good beautiful Saturday morning Ladies!

Ponies will all be outside today, blow the stink off them. I am continuing my cleaning and I don't want old junk in my house journey. Which involves packing only necessities and really important stuff lol.

Good morning ladies.

Welcome GirlScreaming

Helen I hope the baby comes on your schedule

It's a beautiful day here at Stone Mountain. Hubby and son headed to the supercross race around 9am to make sure they get a good tailgating spot. the race doesn't start until tonight, lol!!!

So now that I have some time to myself, Lucy and I are planning on going for a run. I need to work off the candy bar I had after my smoothie, lol.

Btw, Lucy is having a blast. She was so good on the long drive down and has taken to camping line a pro!

Have a wonderful day ladies!

Hi Sisters.

MLH yes take the opportunity to purge! I say that because I need to purge junk so badly lol.

Barbs your post about Lucy makes me smile. Thor loves camping too!

We have a beautiful sunny day here. I *should* get out with Thor for a bit. We'll see if that happens. Been working on school work all morning so I'm due for something for me. Daughter is getting lots of Braxton Hicks contractions but nothing that she thinks is the real deal yet, so we wait

Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Helen, it's a beautiful, sunny day here too, so enjoy getting out with Thor. Babies do have a habit of arriving when they are good and ready, but hopefully it will be soon. I imagine your daughter is ready!

Barb, I love that Lucy enjoys car rides and camping. I hope you and she have a good run.

MLH, organizing 'stuff' sounds like a good weekend project. When do you make the move?

I will be walking on the beach, and then enjoying a dinner out with MrAnna at a local restaurant.

Hi everyone. I hope you're having a wonderful Saturday.
Today I allowed myself to sleep in, which I never do, and even snuck in some t.v. time!

Sleeping in sounds lovely.

32 days until we move which puts my sobriety at 165 days on closing day. Just shy of 6 months. I am happy dancing.

GirlScreaming, sleeping in is awesome!

MLH, you must be excited. 32 days will go by quickly and you'll be in your new home.

Happy Beautiful Sunday!

Barbs, I am so happy your dog likes camping! I love taking mine. Except last year we went to Killbear in Ontario and it was all sand... I had to borrow a rake from the office before we left!

Helen, you must be getting so excited!

Anna the weather here has been beautiful, hoping you are enjoying nice weather as well.

Girl screaming welcome!

I bought a couch yesterday - maybe, they have to see if they can order it in at the price I like, in the colour I like. They had a light grey there, but I wanted more of a charcoal because kids and dogs and husband... I wanted, still do an all white set, I bought one when my youngest was 2, it was on the curb before she was 3 LOL My plan for today is to get out and soak up some Vitamin D!

good morning!

GirlScreaming- welcome to this thread! I love to sleep in! That is excellent self care.

MLH- I love the idea of a charcoal couch. I hope they are able to order it! I am really happy for you about nearing 6 months of sobriety. That is awesome!

Barbs- it is great that Lucy is a good traveller! I am glad you have her.

Anna- I hope you enjoyed your walk and dinner yesterday.

Helen- I love downton abbey! Have you watched "the queen" yet?

Ringo- I think it is great you do zumba! Exercise is so much fun in a class setting. I need to do more of that.

I have been doing good. I exercised yesterday, used good skin care, and took my vitamins. Drinking green tea now. I am like MLH counting down my days until a milestone. I have 94 days until I am two years sober!! That is still awhile away but I am getting excited.

A fuller post later, just popping in to say that it WAS the real deal yesterday; my newest granddaughter was born yesterday safely at home - 10 minutes after I got there! Lol. Everyone is doing great. Feeling very full of love.
