Anna - the festival sounds like fun. My cousin married a man with Scottish roots and they always had fun with the music.

Chloe - You're so motivated, it's inspiring

CT - It's good that you're pacing yourself while recovering. I know it's not easy but it will payoff in the long run. I just got back to my full workout. It's nice that your husband is so helpful.

MW - what a great day, baking and sewing and the gym, wow!

This morning I did my full workout, yay! Then I took my mom out to breakfast and bought her a smartphone. Not sure how smart that was of me but at 86, I thought she needed something new to learn, lol

Getting ready for a dinner date with hubby

Hope everyone had a great day!

Hi everyone!

Barbs- I am glad you are able to get in the full workouts again. That is great your mom got a smart phone. I am sure she will love it after a few days.

Anna- the festival sounds great. I am glad you had a nice time. That is awesome that you organized your vitamins. I really do feel better when I take mine.

I skipped the gym today and I am down 3 pounds. I feel great about that. Especially since it seems to be where I needed it to come off ....around my waist & stomach. lol I think the swimming classes have helped.

I hope everyone had a nice weekend.

MW, you've been working so hard, I'm not surprised you are down 3 lbs.

Barbs, what a nice thing to do for your Mom. I bet she will love it. Before my Dad passed away, I tried and tried to get him involved in the internet/computer. But, he stubbornly insisted that it would take up all his time. He wasn't doing anything else though.

I'm catching up on errands today and it feels good.

Happy Monday Sistas!

Congrats on the weight loss MW. I'm not surprised either that you're down. You've been a wild woman with your workouts.

Anna- Glad you were able to catch up on errands today. Since I started working full time again, I've gotten behind in some of my daily "to-dos". I must get a new routine in check STAT!

Barbs- So glad to hear that you were able to get a full workout in again. I'm doing my best to hold back and not push it but its so hard..grrr.

Helen- Guess you wont read this until you return from your trip....but hope you have a wonderful time!

I bought myself some new sneakers and used them the first time today. I have a feeling that the new sneakers will do the trick with my hip flexor issues. We'll see, but I had a lot less pain after my workout today.

Have a great evening all...gotta get some dinner.

Thanks Anna & CT.

CT- it is so hard to get on a schedule. I wish you the best on getting one down. It is helpful. That is great the shoes seem to be helping. Enjoy your dinner!

I walked 2 miles at the gym and then I did the elliptical for 15 minutes. That was it. I ended up going shopping today. It was fun. It is nice to jump in my car and go! It was a gorgeous day.

Now I am watching a Robert Redford movie. I found myself not paying attention to what he was saying for some reason!! haha. *smile*

CT, buying new sneakers is a great idea! I was a dancer for many years and I have found that good quality sneakers have helped a lot of my aches and pains.

MW, as always you inspire me! Today is so beautiful, I had two long walks and I'm being more consistent with yoga.

I bought a new lipstick today. This is a big deal for me because I look at colours and try them on my wrist, but when I get home and use it, I usually don't like them much. But, this is a nude, with pink tones, so it's nice and light.

MW - down 3 lbs without trying, wow. Sounds like swim class is really paying off

Anna - I got my mom at a moment of weakness. We have been laughing ever since at how foreign the phone is to her. Funny thing, she caught right on to the Dunkin Donuts app The lipstick sounds like the perfect shade, enjoy.

CT - I hope the sneakers to the trick. Be patient, you will heal in time.

We're leaving for Niagara Falls tomorrow to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary My husband insisted that I buy some new jeans (he claimed mine were too frumpy). I hate shopping but I broke down and picked up a few pair. To my surprise, I was down to a size 2. Last year I was a size 6/8 and dropped down to a 4 after I stopped drinking. But I'm not complaining

Good morning Everyone! I'm back from Kauai and I wish I had time right this minute to read all your posts from the last week or so. But that will have to wait til later today.

I'm taking care of myself by returning to my regular food and exercise schedule without regret or slamming myself for being up a couple of pounds. I haven't weighed in yet but I know my body.

I hope you all are doing well and are in good spirits. Now that I'm back, I realize how much I missed our daily or almost daily interactions on this wonderful, supportive thread.

welcome back Ringo! I hope you enjoyed your vacation. Good job not slamming yourself on a few pounds. It will all even out soon enough. It could just be from the salt too. If you had any.

I did 30 minutes on the elliptical, 15 minutes on the treadmill, and I got my hair done and eye brows done.

I weighed this morning first time since before vacation; thankfully same as two weeks ago - 123.8 lbs. I know I was up but got back on schedule Tuesday, then yesterday only had one meal, did spin at 11am and upper body lift at 3pm.

I read posts back a few days; glad to hear all are taking good care of yourselves!

I'd like to exercise twice again today but will only do it once (spin at 11a) as time with hubby before he goes to work tonight is important.

Giving my life to God, working the Steps and living the Program has turned this selfish and self-centered female into a kind and caring woman. Who'da thought...?

MW, congrats on the weight loss.

Barbs, 30 years! Wow, congrats.

Blessings to all!

Barbs, Happy 30th Anniversary, and I'm sure you will love Niagara Falls. It's an amazing site.

Ringo, it's good to see you back. Spending time with your hubby before he goes to work sounds nice. It's all about balance isn't it. I track my weight pretty closely too, because it's easier to catch a couple of pounds rather than 5 or 10.

Midwest, having hair and eyebrows done, you must be looking good.

I am loving the summery weather we're having now. I find it so much easier to get out and be active in this weather. Winter is not so easy. But, I'm making the best of it now.

Ringo- I hope you enjoyed your evening with your husband. I can definitely tell you are a caring person. Great job getting back into your healthy eating routine. That can be hard after a trip.

Anna- thanks We had some cooler days here but it has warmed back up again. I am glad you are getting out and enjoying it.

This morning I did 15 minutes on the stair climber and 2 miles on the treadmill at different inclines. I worked up a good sweat. I kind of feel like something is going on with my lungs. Maybe a touch of bronchitis? I can feel a little congestion way deep in my lungs in the morning when I work out. I probably should take it easier tomorrow. I feel great though but I am tired after my workouts.

Hi Sistas!

Welcome back Ringo! You've been missed!

Anna- You're right about the sneakers...they're definitely helping! I power walked 4 mi the other night after working all day and I had no pain the next day. I really think that was the problem with my back. That's really cool that you were once a dancer. Very exciting! What type of dance? Glad you're enjoying the weather too. This is my favorite time of the year.

MW- I bet you're looking great! 3lbs lighter, cute hair cut and perfectly groomed eyebrows? You go girl! I hope you're congestion is better. Good idea on taking it easy. Your body is speaking to you.

Barbs- Congrats on your 30th! Hope you enjoy Niagara Falls! Enjoy!

This has been a crazy week for me...but a blast! DH and I have been conducting interviews, while I continue to do phone interviews and keep setting up more people to meet with every day. We will be making final decisions on who will be the best candidates to help us launch the account by the end of next week. We got the date this week for the launch, Oct 16th is the big day. DH and I had a therapy apt this week and it flew by so fast that I wasn't even able to go over some issues (husband drinking daily and ongoing trust issues). Grrr.. Nevertheless, DH and I have been working much better together as a team in preparing for the launch.

I've been trying to eat healthy and fit in as many workouts as possible around work. I am now able to fit into clothes that way too tight for me to wear 6 months ago and it feels great! The first few days I went back to my old routine of getting up and going to work in my office, I felt a few twinges of urges when 5pm rolled around. Once I started working out at 5pm, instead of first thing in the morning, the urges have subsided...THANK GOD!

Sorry for the long ramble...I'm just feeling really good and super excited about where life is today. While my marriage may not be perfect at this stage, at least we are still working on it and I have hope.

Take care all!

Good morning Sisters.

CT my gosh you are so busy! I give you huge credit for all the things you do.

My camping trip was awesome. We had perfect weather and I took Thor to the beach every day. He says that doggie heaven looks like a beach with lots of driftwood and roots growing up through the sand to play tug of war with lol

I have a "todo" list about a mile long, although some of those are short and/or fun so it's all good.

Have a good one everyone

Morning all,

Anna, my mom was a dancer. Not professionally, but for fun and exercise. Thanks for mentioning that.

CT, I'm happy for your upswing in your business, your mood and exercise.

Helen, nice to hear about your awesome camping trip.

Perhaps a result of the vacation, but I feel great! I got some wicked work-outs in this short work week (W-F), rode my bike to work today, and using lotion to keep my Kaua'i tan just a bit longer.

I went to a follow-up appt with the Registered Dietician Wed after work. No need to see her again as I'm doing so well. She said I could email her anytime.

Looking forward to the weekend. Take care all!

Midwest, it does sound like your body is talking to you, so taking it easy sounds like a good idea. I hope it doesn't turn into bronchitis.

CT, it's so good to hear you sounding so happy. You are your husband may find this new business venture helps to bring you closer. I so admire your strength, I really do. I danced from age 5 to 25 - ballet, Irish, jazz, Hawaiian, mostly Scottish - competitive and professionally, and I have some aches and pains to show for it. I'm generally a skeptic, but good quality sneakers can be life-savers.

Helen, I love that Thor 'talks' to you. Kai 'talks' to me too, all the time. I'm glad you had fun camping.

Ringo, I'm so glad to hear your tummy's feeling better. Yay!

I treated myself at the fruit store today and got local blueberries, some grapes and watermelon.
