Well, here I am with the rest of you. Not a bad place to be. I grew up with an alcoholic father who has been dead for 26 years. I married a heavy drinker, whom I made excuses for the last 15 years. I tried 12 step but he found out and was furious. I only wanted to help myself and the kids understand but still love him. I thought it would help us get through some of the hard times. Like the day after he drinks when we are not allowed in the same room as he is. This is where I am today and I'm coming back. What a great site. Thank you
