I was cruising the internet, and researching meth sites actually. I dont know exactly how i got here, but i am glad i did. I've been lurking for about one week now, so here i am. I've been sober almost 2 yrs. And I am loving every day of it.

Hi Im Sharon and Im an Alcoholic.

I found this site last Dec.. I needed to grow a little more and was already a member of another AA group at the time. When i moved here to Houston 9 yrs ago i connected online immediately to fill in the void of just leaving my own support family back in Baton Rouge.

The other group had the same format as a regular meeting with sharing a topic at the beginning of the week and who ever wanted to post a share could.

This site kept me connect to AA ...my life line up until Dec. of last yr. I luckliy came across this site and have enjoyed this more so if not better than the first recovery site i was with for so long.

In this site there r more interaction between members. I don't feel so all alone here like i was before.

This recovery site has many WONDERFUL HELPFUL SUPPORTIVE CARING people that u would normally meet in a face to face meeting.

So for me i am extremely greatful for this site and u people.

Thank you each one for the replies. I guess I am also wanting to grow, to interact more, I believe I am ready now. I have been lurking for awhile now, and I have to admit, I am afraid to open up. But its time now, to at least make an effort, and so far, I like what I see here. Good recovery and support. Thanks again.
