Where Was I
 

In August 2019, I finally decided enough was enough and went to detox, followed by intensive outpatient. my first few days of detoxing was at home, and I was really in rough shape. I knew about these forums, as I used to be part of the debating society on them. I started reading them when I was at home just to pass the time, but also found inspiration and comfort in the people who were fighting the same fight as I. I realized I needed to go to meetings as well, and not isolate. This community is amazing... just a little over two years sober now, and wanted to share some gratitude for this space.

Congrats on 2 years plus - I guess you meant you decided enough was enough August 2017, not 2019 :)
