I quit the resistance
I had had 10 yrs. Clean and fell into pain meds with disc problems in my neck. I followed the rules for a couple years but being addict alcoholic how long could I do that and not become a slave to it. So knowing how powerless I had become to it I told my Dr..and had the surgery. It's been 21 weeks and I'm going to meetings have a sponsor and stay away from dangerous places and out of rooms in my home as much as I can that trigger me. I've a stack of journals I kept of how miserable I was everyday!!!! I'd hoped would help me on that one day I'd find the courage to quit added arsenal. I've had some challenges but I've a program and tools to help one day at a time
