Where was I?

I was doing a Google search on the statistics of recovery and found the board in Google.

Yes the statistics are bleak if you pay attention to what other people are doing. 1 in 33. But if you pay attention to your own program, your own recovery, you have a 50-50 chance. The fair odds of anything in life.

As long as you do not drink today you always have a chance. No matter what problems you have, as long as you do not drink today, things will get better.

Can I ask where the 1 in 33 statistic came from? Is that really it?

I was just about to go over that cliff. I found a way out just in time. With help. I need other alcoholics and addicts in recovery with me, so thanks for being here!
