New to getting help

I quit drinking 8 days ago, my beautiful wife kicked me out on the street which I deserved. I had been selfish for many years, it's time for me to seek and get help so I can be the man God intended my wife and beautiful daughter to have, missing them to pieces

Hey William, how are you feeling tonight? That is a tough situation you are in right now. Good job on your days sober. Are you talking to anyone, like a professional, or seeking outside help, like AA meetings?

Welcome William

Maybe try and take things one day at a time. I know it's difficult, but the longer you're sober the more perspective you'll gain.

I'm sure you can work out something with your wife about seeing your daughter.

It took courage to reach out, we're all here to support you.

When I first started out, I found this forum. I also looked online for an AA meeting. The people there were full of information and other resources...and trust me I did NOT want to go, best thing I've ever done. If you are experiencing withdraw symptoms or having suicidal thought, please seek medical attention. On that note, if you have a regular doctor, they can also point you in a good direction.

Doing a little better, got my job back and looking at a place to live today, loneliness and hurt seem to be the norm, but 1 day at a time

Good news about the job, William.

I know you hurt inside and I'm sorry for that, truly.
Have you thought about attending an AA meeting?
I think you would find support and face to face connections may help with the loneliness.

Support was key in keeping me sober.
You can turn this around William, explore your options.

Arm yourself for success.

Please keep posting and as Dee suggested the Newcomers forum is awesome.
