Far from anywhere good
Far from anywhere good
Not sure I wanna revisit, even in just memories, so I'll keep it very brief.
My baby son (about 19 then) had just gotten arrested, along with his wife, for meth possession, delivery, etc...
My only grand baby (about 9 months) was taken to a temp foster home.
I stayed up all night long, went to work the next day, just about lost my mind. I wanted desperately to "cure" them, to fix them, so I found SR and learned that I couldn't.
He's 27 now, been to rehabs, jails, prisons, blah, blah, blah.
I still come here because it helps me.

Initial reaction...
My initial raction is to follow the advice heard from the lips of many members of that fine organisation, Al-Anon, is that you should, as far as possible, not easy I know, try and detach from you son's addiction. You have your life to live.
This being said I'm sure you will learn more and get the support you need on the relevant forum for the Family and Friends of Substance Abusers. I wish you well.

My heart Goes out to you in prayer. I am a grateful recovering addict with twelve years clean. Though I love the rooms of recovery I believe your answer is within the Bible. Would you let me share it with you?
