Let's hear some more!
Great, that's really, really wonderful and I mean that! May be we'll hear some more, doesn't all have to be huge miracles, the small ones have just as much valua, Mike W.
My house gets cleaner and more organized every day. My bank account is better, I'm making more and spending less. My skin is clear, no bags under my eyes. I am calm, not irritable. I am more clean and well-groomed. I am reading much more and watching TV much, much less. I just launched a business I have been thinking about starting for two years. And I 'm doing my day job better. That's just the start.

Way to go!
That's the way you do it, it's the little things that eventually make the big things, like celebrating Christmas become more important, so eventually you get a proper perspective on life, that if you want to you can expand on,for me, that's by making,'spiritual progress', Mike W.

Now that's what I call .....
Now that's what I call, SOMETHING!, not least as I was still suffering under the lash of John Barleycorn when my son went to uni. Fast forward to the 15th of Feb.,2008, when my alcoholism was taken from me, fast forward to the present day and he'snow at 29yrs a university educated, (Performing Arts, Jazz,Popular and Contemporary Music, 2.1), highly succesful , professional musician, guitar, ANY guitar, and three months ago his partner gave birth to a son, so there's everything to play for and it's so much better sober, take care, Mike W.
sobriety improving...
there is no longer an elephant sitting in the room nobody talks about,
l don't have to check my mobile phone to see who l have rung while drunk
l am once again part of my family who believe in me as l believe in myself
one day at a time

Because I no longer want to drink. Because I am happier than I've been in a long time. Because I'm taking better care of my dogs and all are healthier and happier than they've been in a while.

Simple but good!
Great thread, it's the simple things that matter, I had something similar, when I saw the cupboard that I store the plastic supermarket bags that usually have the store's name on contained absolutely no plain blue plastic bags handed out at every off licence in the northwest of the UK, that was a definite sign that things were on the up! Thank you, Mike W.
Ps. It's the same here , living in a communal block of flats with shared recycle bins if I put stuff in those used for plastic bottles or cans it's things like milk bottles or tioletries, mind you they still fill up with others beer, spirit and wine containers, not my problem, it's a selfish programme, right?
