I found sober recovery when reaching out for some kind of support network soon after realizing my problem with substance abuse. I was depressed and disappointed in myself--still am at times. The choice to weed out certain vices in my life was an appropriate decision to make, in order to jump start my goal accomplishing efforts and to focus on my health and overall well-being.

I realized in order to be of any good to anybody, I first need to be good to myself and that happiness is a personal responsibility.
