In the Tunnel

Ok here I sit in this tunnel, alone dark and damp. Either way I turn it's cold and dark. I can hear the water and the rats and the emptiness but yet I feel nothing. What's more important, how I got here or how to get out? I wish some hand would majically appear above the concrete and pull me out or a light would shine and show me the way out of here.

Welcome back Scoob, looks like your last post was in Oct. '08. How about posting over in Newcomers? There are many hands over there to pull you out into the sunlight Glad you're here for support.

Free yourself!

The answer to your dilemma lies in yourself, particularly in your own mind, if you want to be in a tunnel you can put yourself there anytime you want, if you seel release and perhaps metaphorically speaking feel the sun on your face and the wind in your hair, getting a taste of the freedom that sobriety brings then you should take a resalistic view of your life, not just where you are now but where you would like to go, mentally, physically and may be geographically.

The last words attributed to Shakaymuni, the Buddha (Enlightened one) were that all life is impermanence, know what? It's true!

Frans Kafka said,'If you just sit still, life has no choice, it will come and writhe at your feet.'

You must therefore be ready and that readiness is in your mind! Change your perspective, do not expect anyone else to free you from the tunnel except yourself, Mike W.
