and sober. I was recently out of rehab last year and was failing at staying sober. I was desperate and depressed. It took me several months after finding SR to actually stay sober, and now, after six months sober, a short relapse, and currently 78 days sober, I'm feeling stronger about my sobriety.
I am so grateful for this place and my friends here. I'd be lost and lonely without SR!:ghug

I second that!
I'd been through various dependancies before becoming a heroin addict. I realpsed, more than once too and without this place Lord knows where I'd be now...the people I have met on here astonish me.
Great post and congrats on the sober time!

Grateful
I am grateful for every new recovering alcoholic or addict....I am finding that when we talk about it we realize we ARE normal.
Every one has an outlet or way to deal with the issues in their lives. I used to choose alcohol to deal with things. Then I realized things were dealing with me.
I celebrate over 4 years of recovery and am enjoying my life today. I choose to be a part of my own day, each and everyday.
I cannot imagine how different my life would be if I had chosen to sedate the last 4 years away.
It is not always easy but it sure is wonderful to feel again.
Welcome every new recovering individual.
The absolute best days are still to come.
I am Linda z and finally happy to be me!!!!!!!!!!
