I was sitting at my desk...
... looking for an old writing called "Hello, I am Your Disease", so that I could print out another copy of it, and perhaps post it on another site, when I clicked on the search link that brought me to this site.
I had not heard of this site before, and was extremely happy to have found it.
As it turned out, my best girlfriend called me shortly after I found that thread - she had had a using dream, and was shaken by it - and so I read to her the poem, and it helped her to put the disease into perspective, and calm her. All things happen for a reason - God's timing is perfect.
I came to the rooms of AA/NA for the first time in March or 1997; and after 2 relapses, have been living clean and sober since September 01, 2000.
I am grateful to have found this site.
