this post finds me six months sober as of yesterday. it is my first attempt getting sober after about five years of heavy drug addiction (i'm 22). i was in treatment for four and a half months. after that, i moved into a sober house near my college, from which i am on a volunatry leave. unfortunately, my school levied conditions on my return (despite the volunatry leave....long story), and they are now trying to hold me out, but that's a story for another post. this uncertainty is my biggest source of anxiety/stress although making the transition from treatment to a sober house is not a walk in the park.

i am at a pretty good place in my recovery. treatment was immensely helpful to me. i feel optimistic, but i am careful not to get too positive bc i really don't have experience with longterm sobriety or with relapse. i think i could go one for a lot longer, but i think i'll stop here for the sake of brevity.
