i was drunk
i was drunk when i found this site.
Had woken up in the morning, got sick, phoned into one job lying about why i wouldn't be there, got sick, phoned the other place i work lying that i wouldn't be there.
felt depressed, wretched and useless. So i drove and got more beer. Began looking around at alcoholism type sites just hoping to find or do something new, found SMART recovery and this one and bookmarked them. Ended up lurking here i think for a week before i joined. I forget which day i joined but that was my first sober day.
Really has helped a lot being able to talk and learn here at night.
