September 28, 2006.........I was at the end of the line. I had drank myself to the point where I no longer cared if I lived or died (preferably died). It was nighttime about midnight if I remember right, and I wanted a truck to hit me. My little cousin was there thankfully and he pushed me out of the way about 10 feet before it actually did hit me. Once on the side of the road I realized what I was doing. It hit me like a ton of bricks. I needed to stop drinking or I was going to die, either by my own hand, or by stupidity. That night I had my cousin call the police and have me checked into detox. 83 days later here I am, and God willing I will be here for a very long time!
