Order.

Busy people often declare, with some exasperation, that they cannot do everything at once. People with emotional problems, a group that includes many alcoholics, often feel that they are trying to do everything at once. Quite often, this pressure means that we waste our time fretting about all the things facing us, becoming totally ineffective as a result.

The simple slogan "First things First" shows us how to set priorities in an orderly way. In every situation or problem, there is always one step we can take that is more important than the others. Following that, we find a step of second importance, another of third importance, and so on. Sometimes, a certain action comes first simply because other things depend on it.

By using "First things first" as a guiding principle in our lives, we can live in an orderly, disciplined manner. If we have to reduce our activities, we can decide which few ought to retain. Having made these decisions, we can be at peace about our choices. We cannot do everything at once and we need not feel guilty about it.

Knowing that order is Heaven's first law, I'll do things today in an orderly manner.

From the book Walk in Dry Places.
All you evolutionists...
Substitute the word universe for the word heaven in the last sentence.
Might spare yourself some unnecessary heartburn, and reap some benefits from the quote

All you evolutionists...
Substitute the word universe for the word heaven in the last sentence.
To summarize, the laws of science do not distinguish between the forward and backward directions of time. However, there are at least three arrows of time that do distinguish the past from the future. They are the thermodynamic arrow, the direction of time in which disorder increases; the psychological arrow, the direction of time in which we remember the past and not the future; and the cosmological arrow, the direction of time in which the universe expands rather than contracts. I have shown that the psychological arrow is essentially the same as the thermodynamic arrow, so that the two would always point in the same direction. The no boundary proposal for the universe predicts the existence of a well-defined thermodynamic arrow of time because the universe must start off in a smooth and ordered state. And the reason we observe this thermodynamic arrow to agree with the cosmological arrow is that intelligent beings can exist only in the expanding phase. The contracting phase will be unsuitable because it has no strong thermodynamic arrow of time.

The progress of the human race in understanding the universe has established a small corner of order in an increasingly disordered universe. If you remember every word in this book, your memory will have recorded about two million pieces of information: the order in your brain will have increased by about two million units. However, while you have been reading the book, you will have converted at least a thousand calories of ordered energy, in the form of food, into disordered energy, in the form of heat that you lose to the air around you by convection and sweat. This will increase the disorder of the universe by about twenty million million million million units – or about ten million million million times the increase in order in your brain – and that’s if you remember everything in this book.

Stephen Hawking, A Brief History of Time, Chapter 9.

(ps--don't worry, I don't understand most of it either)

Good quote Dan.
Yep, usually. Cool post, with/without the universe/heaven thing. Now that I think of it, if we weren't out of sync, the universe/heaven thing wouldn't even be an issue. (oops, did I say that out loud? )

This is how a recoverying addict thinks.lol
I'm still curious, what if.lol
What if there was a buch on big bang going on...mmm like billions of them.
Okey....what if those giantic big bangs (from our view) where just tiny
bangs compare to billion of billion of big bangs.
And those bollions of billions of big bangs are just within one univers.
What if.lmaf...there's like billions of billions of univers.
What if...those billions of univers was just a part of a small bang.lmaf
