Homeless and Unemployed.
Economic Insecurity
Alcoholism isn't the sole cause of the homelessness and unemployment that troubles our world. Even in sobriety, people can lose their jobs and homes, through no fault of their own.
Recovery makes it less likely that we will cause such conditions in our own lives. Beyond that , by keeping sober, we will be better able to deal with any setbacks that do occur. It is a painful fact that it is almost impossible to help any destitute alcoholic find a home or employment unless he or she stops drinking. We learn that much through our experience.
Our true home is with our higher power, and our best work bay be in the sharing of our experience and strength with others. Remembering this, we can be sympathetic and understanding about the general problems of homelessness and unemployment. We don't have the complete answer, but we do have answers.
I'll be grateful and understanding in any consideration of today's problems of homelessness and unemployment. By staying sober, I am at least helping to alleviate some of the general problems.

This is a good reminder Dan. I have seen it happen. I see people lose jobs and homes through no fault of their own. May we all take time to pray today for those less fortunate than we are.
Be it our addicts or non-addicts..we are all people. People with hearts and feelings.
Too many people go about their lives thinking this could never happen to them. Too many people live without compassion, never really giving thought to those with less. May I never, EVER think I am better than...

Well phoenix, that's just a quote from a book up there, you know.
I can relate to it 'cause I've been homeless and unemployed. Looking for work now, actually.

well...I quit my 40k job and i got one foot out the door.
I have not a dime in my name.
I guess that puts me as a straving musician.lol
Got out of my comfort zone and meet border bullies.lmaf
I went through the waste land and santuary.
I surender.........
Now I enter the valley.
"Valley of the gaints, Dreamers Beware"
"ordinary walks into the valley of the gaints"
the first gaints is MONEYLESS..lmaf
It's wierd, everywhere I look.
I see disbelief or faith all around me. It tries and tries to infect me.
How easy to have faith aND belive when all is will.
It's a journey..hang on to me arss.lol

The dahli lama was exile from his country or kingdom.
Saint Frances left his princehood or everything behind.
The Wright Bro. was refused funding by the U.S. government.
Man Flight was deem imposisable and the Wrights were deem nutz.
Galilao was kept in the looney bend becuase his deem the world was round.
Columbus sailed into the unknown or the edge of the sea where monsters
of the deep lived and the possiablity falling off the face of the earth.
After having a brain fart.
Bill Wilson quit his job as a stock broker. Six month later he struggle
with this AA stuff wasn't working....gaints.lol gaints....
