A cool thing happened at work today
I've been working 7 days a week since April.A lot has happened since I got clean also.Mostly good.Bad part? Im still learning how to live life on lifes terms. Not always easy. But,one day at a time I do not use no matter what. Well,I was at work today and talking with a co-worker.I told him I had a lot on my plate lately. He asked what was going on.I usaully keep my recovery private, but I told him a few things that were going on and then I pulled out an NA key tag and showed it to him.He just smiled and then he reached in his pocket and pulled out a 3 year coin. The dude is into cars and trucks just like me,so we always have plenty to talk about during the day.Today was different. We talked about recovery the rest of the day.
I'm a big believer that God puts each person on our path for a reason, and there is a gift in that new friendship, probably a gift that will go both ways.
Blessings...you just never know when you'll run into one.

That my friend is what I would call a God thing, isn't it something how the Higher Power works in and threw people and how if we keep our eyes and ears open that it is evident all around us. We never used to see that stuff when we were all ****ed up, and sometimes we don't even notice it clean and sober. Good for you

kind of reminds me of my post last week "28 days and an interesting sat"...its sooooo cool when stuff like that happens.
and i think it just goes to show too, that when you kind of wear your heart on your sleeve--you just never know what or who can be brought to you.
