Feeling Our Worth
Feeling Our Worth
Whoever I am or whatever I am doing, some kind of excellence is within my reach.
----John W.Gardner
It's easy to forget how important we each are -- to our parents, to other family members, to our friends. We are in this world, even in our particular family, because we are important and necessary in the lives of others. It's easy to feel not so important though, especially when we think we're not good enough at anything we try. School or work comes easy for some. Maybe not us. Athletics come easy to others. May it's helping around the house that's easiest. Each of us is very good at some things. And it's okay to not be good at everything.
How can I show my talent today?

We often let ourselves feel unloved or unimportant but I believe that God put each one of us here for a reason, and that we cross paths by destiny and not fate. Each person has something unique to offer, and it matters.
na4today, don't ever forget how much you matter. My son struggles with his addiction right now, and he too probably feels unworthy of love or that he doesn't matter, but in truth he matters to me more than anything in the world, and he is loved.

Next time you see your granny, take a good look at the light in her eyes. That light is a reflection of you. And give her a big hug from me, just because I loved my granny too and can no longer hug her.
