So often I think of those that I met in rehab and didn't keep in touch with anyone. I see their faces and remember the talks we had in the "smoke room". I wonder sometimes how they are doing and if they made it.

I guess this is something that I will always remember and wonder about. It is my wish that each and every one of them is somewhere right now living a good, clean and happy life!

Dan...That was powerful!! Thank you!

Auld Lang Syne
by Robert Burns

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and days of auld lang syne?

For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll take a cup o' kindness yet
For auld lang syne

We twa hae run aboot the braes
And pou'd the gowans fine;
we've wander'd mony a weary foot
Sin' auld lang syne

We two hae paidled i' the burn,
Frae mornin' sun till dine;
But seas between us braid hae roar'd
Sin' auld lang syne

And here's a hand, my trusty friend,
And gie's a hand o' thine;
We'll take a cup o' kindness yet
For auld lang syne

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and days of auld lang syne?

For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We'll take a cup o' kindness yet
For auld lang syne

That passage Dan posted never fails to stop me in my tracks. Powerful stuff. I can't decide whether to go read my Big Book or some Alan Ginsburg.
