My wife refuses to let the "old year go into the New Year" so Christmas decorations have to be down by 12/31. Starting tomorrow I'm working doubles through 1/1 so I've gotta get the exterior holiday lights down today and she'll take down the interior the rest of the week while she works from home. Better pour more coffee down and get that done, we're also going to see Avatar this afternoon on my last day off!
We had a warm up into the twenties yesterday so I got in a four mile nature walk. I feel as though cookies and sweets are my only nutritional source at the moment. I need to drop several pounds that I have picked up over the past month or so.
Astro, my wife insists that the tree stays up past New Years. It would be easier to take it down now, as I have a couple of days off and will be super busy at work shortly. I guess it is a tradition.
I have to take my elderly parents to the cell phone store and help them navigate getting a new cell phone. They carry one like I did twenty years ago, as an emergency in case I had car trouble. Their flip phone is 3G and the network is shutting down by the end of the year. They still buy minutes, ala 2007 and don't understand that even a new flip phone will involve a data plan. They are kind of like my autistic son. They want things the way they want things, and are resistant to any change. Wish me patience!
Have a good day all!

Star, a few months ago I switched from Verizon to T-Mobile, no data plan. $20 a month unlimited talk/text. Two lines (if over 55 years old) are $25 a month. Free 5G smart phone (mine is a Nord.) I can still use WIFI data but don't have mobile data. If I had wanted mobile data, it would have been a total of $50 a month.
If your parents don't use a bunch of apps, it may be the way to go if it's available in your area. I'm on the West Coast and T-Mobile has a good network out here.

I was awake early and went back to bed myself.
SG that shopping trip will be a test of your patience. I’m not very tech savvy either and feel real dumb a lot. I’m on my 4th cell phone ever. It is an iPhone 8s and I have no idea what all it can do or how to do it. My 2017 car is like a big phone on wheels to me. I’m grateful for my oldest Gson to fix things. Good luck! My son uses straight talk and seems happy with it but I’m afraid to switch from Verizon. Any opinions will be appreciated guys.
We will be at 55 degrees with 55mph wind gusts. The wind is relentless.
Now onto more coffee and a muffin,
Have a good Tuesday everyone and thank you for the new cottage scene purps.
