Astro,
I started quilting because I love to sew. It is really fun and if your wife is as creative as I think she is...prepared yourself for lots and lots of fabrics piling up! Quilters call it our 'stash' because we never know how or when we might get inspired to make something!
If you ever need a gift to give to her there is a really great planning journal on Amazon that helps when getting things organized because quilting can get disorderly ( on the sewing table & in the mind)!
Really excited for her! Love that she donates...me, too!

Too glad to see you on this Twos-day for two of the "two-riffic" specials!

That is great news, gatorman; prayers for a quick, full recovery and the end to back pain.

CK, that was quite the snow storm. Have you been able to dig out yet?

Astro, you have a very talented wife. I have a few friends who are recent but avid quilters; quilting seems to have a life it’s own which classes, clubs, bazaars and even bus trips.

Slowly but surely Gatorman...like a locomotive!

Nice Purps, the magic of life happening right before your eyes!

It was very light snow Sober Leigh, it looks bad but it was cleared easily in a few minutes.
Nothing to compare to the poor people fighting floods after floods in California.

And I found this amazing artwork Chloe did a few years ago.

I have never heard of a home-created crysalis experiment. Purps, you're the Whisperer Of All Things.

Early for even me...3:10AM. The world is sooooo quiet at 3AM. Plumber tomorrow, lots to do. I'm excited to be able to use my kitchen sink again after three weeks.

"Rise & Shine Café" is a Happy Place on this Wednesday!

Yes, CK, when I started quilting I was making table runners and centerpieces. This one has been duplicated for Easter with pastel eggs/colors; Christmas with faux green fur with the Grinch; Fourth of July colors and Halloween with all that scary stuff including spiders! I put candles, vases, sculptures, etc in the center. I have made alot. Great memory! Thanks!

Good morning.

Happy to see you’re on the mend Gator. I have been an early and late riser due to one more sinus infection but am feeling much better today.

We are in a winter storm warning now with 6 inches forecast. I haven’t looked outside yet!

Hoping for a cafe delivery this morning.

A good Wednesday to everyone.

Ohhh you don't have to warn me about anything piling up, she has baskets and bins of yarn in our living room where she knits, and an entire craft room that's filled with supplies for all her creativity! But that's just fine with me, I have my hobbies spread all over the house and garage too.

Have a great day everyone! Coffee in hand, heading out the door for work.......

Beginning the work week today. Having a cup or two to start the day.

You are so creative Chloe!

Good luck with the plumber Bim. Three weeks without a kitchen sink is challenging.

Have a good day all!

Astro,

My bf is always building stuff so the garage and sheds are full of top notch power tools and it resembles an aisle at Home Depot! He works in prototypes so thankfully he is well organized...but, the motto that works for me is:
Creative Minds Are Rarely Tidy! *
*Pig Pen from Charlie Brown?! Lol

Oh, I just love Pig Pen from Charlie Brown - Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh, too.

ChloeRose, that quilt is GORGEOUS and so is the flower burst that CanadianKoala posted (thanks CK).

Not sure how many hours but, I can tell you that I was surrounded by many many little triangles to make the leaves just so!

I made it for a friend and took pictures along the way. She doesn't sew or know anything about quilting. She thinks they just magically come together and appear in catalogs!

, CK! Really appreciate it!
