Early Riser Check-in Thread Part 15

I知 hoping for a quiet day. There is a lot of tension in the air between my son and I and I give up on communication. I can take my own inventory without angry input from others. It gets old having his childhood loudly thrown up on me. It is difficult to not respond in anger after an onslaught.
Our nice weather comes with a wind warning but I値l take that over blowing snow any day. The poppy痴 are popping up so I will be busy outside cleaning up flower beds today.

Around 6:15 AM. I turned the darn alarm off instead of snooze and overslept.
A bit breezy-just plain windy yesterday outside yesterday to weed but the snow piles are going down.
Easter basket supply run today. It is great to cautiously venture out.

Up around 3:20 AM.
Did not go out yesterday. Daughter has a babysitter so we are running wild today. We rarely have time with her schedule of working evenings and weekend days. I did accomplished some overdue household chores so it was a nice productive day.
I will be in the early to bed club tonight.

I知 dragging this morning. My daughter and I had a great time out yesterday but I had a hard time going to sleep last night. Guess I was wound up from the day. I am going back to bed after the daycare drop off.

Is your daughter back at home with you Imvalentine? How is she doing with the drink?
Rainy day expected here. I have been in a depressive mood for a month that is finally easing. I am more into the emptiness phase now, which is an improvement. I know I will be back to a more normal mood soon. I think a year of pandemic stress has finally broken me. I still don't qualify for a vaccine yet, and a neighboring state just opened vaccinations to all people over 16 starting Monday. I'm sixty and a front line worker and can't get a shot yet in my state.

Up before the 5:00 alarm and slept well. I slept well and have a lot of errands to run today.
star I知 surprised your state is behind mine in vaccination stages. We have an extremely low population of around 575,000 so that may make a difference. I just turned 61 and was stressing out and I go nowhere. It is my Sons ex Gfriend with the alcohol problem. I call her my DIL now XDIL. Her mom and stepfather are picking her up at the Denver airport after a detox in Nevada this afternoon and she will be checking into an inpatient rehab back in Colorado tomorrow. I知 concerned as they will have to drink and smell like alcohol by afternoon themselves and on and on the drama swirls. She is luckily on a scholarship. I知 trying to stay neutral for granddaughters sake and my own serenity and sanity.
We are edging toward spring and that is a depression lifter for sure!

We were closed last year due to Covid, but normally are open for a shorter day. This is the first time we will be open normal hours. When I was much younger, Easter was a day where everything was closed but that has changed over the years. We serve a diverse community of people where I live and we all need to eat.
