Uke Anthem by Amanda Palmer is a well crazy song that I love. I saw her while at the VA and she's made an indelible impression on me....15 years later.

To bed early up early 0300. Snow in forecast. Ordered my groceries for pickup. I'm really liking the process.

No urges to drink....happy to be happy and I hope you are too!
If I can enjoy Deep Purple at this time of morning I am doing something right.

I went to bed very early and feel rested finally. I know you cannot “make up” lost sleep but it helps.
Work day ahead and DIL is off so that’s a little less running needed.
Glad your shopping was productive Dragon. It’s fun to check out new places but I build up expectations and then feel blah.
Get some rest Gazer!
wiscsober its AC/DC for me to get going.

Happy Monday to all.

I took to AA's Big Book because I could relate so much to the drinking parts, of course later, the recovery parts, but where they wrote that coming off a jag an alky should sleep round the clock, but nope (s)he is awake a few hours later. Too numerous for me to count.

Five months in and I still feel unmanageable, especially with sleep and food.

Up at 8am (Have the day off)

Thanks for the vid wiscsober, hope you start feeling a little more manageable soon.

Hope you get thru your cold star, I imagine it's much harder for someone like you who works different hours, to get thru their day without proper sleep.

Had an 'Arts and Crafts' day yesterday and made a shelf to hang some of my ukes on. I'm quite proud that everything turned out to my expectations on that project. I may do it again....

Up around 3:30 AM. The extra sleep stretch is over. It all evens out in the end I guess.

The usual life errands and chores ahead. No real time for coffee and decadent treat with a friend as hoped for. Early appointment for EMDR and that’s draining also.

A good Tuesday to all.

Morning early risers. Grateful for my now over eight month sobriety and all of you.
It's my same life with all the usual ups and downs but so different.
Wishing you all a great day.

Great sleep last night up a couple times a.m. fell back asleep on the couch. Completely out of normal routine, but that's alright. Finally up at 0600. Whew fierce winds. Winter isn't going anywhere.

You all are inspirational. Life is so much better.

I slept twelve hours over the course of the night last night. Thankfully, I have the day off. My body was worn out dealing with this cold. I feel a little better today.

Melski, congrats on eight months!

I never slept well coming off a jag. I would be getting up constantly to use the facilities and never slept deeply. I was always exhausted. The whole day spent in bed is a misnomer in my view.

Keep warm my northern and western friends!

Yay!!! 5 full months today. I'm counting because I've noticed changes occurring for the good in me and I'd like to make note of them. Monday past was an hour of deep relaxation, meditation, "coming to believe," and lately my energy and motivational levels. I had a book about PAWS (post alcohol withdrawal symptoms)….which was helpful.

Hi stargazer what a nice sight of the moon, planets, stars lately, but we are sunk firmly in winter.

Woke before alarm at 4:00 AM in a vivid bad dream. Kind of understand the darn thing. A lot of intense emotions in it.

Work and the usual routine today,

Congratulations wiscsober and melski. Life is good!

A safe sober Wednesday to all.

Morning, had an interview yesterday and I think I am getting a new job offer today..
Some extra commuting involved but I think it 's a great opportunity for me.
Nerves got the better of me last night and I succumbed to chocolate. In the old days it would have been a bottle of wine (or more) so not too mad at myself. At least the chocolate was organic, LOL. Happy Wednesday all.

Congrats on five months Wisc!

Chloe, nice job hitting 2.2!

Melski, great news about the interview. I hope the offer follows through. Enjoy that chocolate. TJ's has a good selection of organic chocolate if you are near one.

Still fighting a cold and slept a ton last night. I only sleep like that when sick. Slowly feeling better.

Have a good day all!

Funny Melski, I had a chocolate craving last night too. Unfortunately, there isn't much to be found in the house. Good luck with the job offer!

Slept well and long enough.

Off work with Dr appointments and errands to run for GD’s 2nd birthday tomorrow. She will be taking mini cupcakes to daycare tomorrow. I will be eating full size ones of course!

I hope you get good news on the job melski.

A terrific Thursday to all.

Up at 4 but soon back to sleep on couch listening to the AA 12x12 audiobook.

Had very pleasant dreams while listening. One for forgiveness of a co-worker from almost 30 years ago. Interesting to have recovery dreams.

Dragging. Very cold but not much wind. -5F/-21C....high of 13F

Doing ok....kind of blah or maybe tired. Everyone have a wonderful day.

Happy Birthday to ImValentine_GD. Cupcakes sound good.

Up a wee bit earlier to check on things @ work due to crash we experienced yesterday morning. We don't get those events too often anymore, but there was a time when it would cause me great anxiety. Now a days it's just "oh well stuff happens"...

Had a good sleep last night, looking forward to another tonight. A Safe and Sober Friday wished for everyone.
