Humility

Humility, our own, to me has played a large and significant part in my own, and I'd suggest anyones recovery, no matter what path they choose to take. Most significantly for me in recognising and accepting, despite every effort on my part in my 'drinking days' to avoid my own recognition and acceptance that I suffer from alcoholism and that as my friend, an SR member said recently,'Complete abstinence is better than perfect moderation.

A helpful reminder that, I would rather go through life sober believing I'm an alcoholic. Than drunk trying to convince myself I'm not...and not fall into the mistake that just because I work in the service industry, as many do these days, or have done. That in serving others in a job I'm paid for is an expression of my humility.

As opposed to sharing your experience, strength and hoped and giving away freels something that was once so freely given to you.

Now that, I would suggest is true humility...
