'God has entrusted me...'
I often think of this from Epictetus, when applied to my recovery. In terms of God, being 'the God of my understanding' see 'Bill's Story' in the book,'Alcoholics Anonymous' and applying it to the last nine Steps in the program of recovery outlined in the chapter,'How It Works'.
'God has entrusted me with myself, no man is free who is not master of himself. A man should live that his happiness shall depend as little as possible on external things. The world turns aside to let any man pass who knows where he is going.'
And I would hope, in recovery. Whatever path we choose we all know where we are going, with the ultimate destination being prolonged and lasting sobriety..
