I hear you, Ringo!
Quick 'check in' because I forgot to charge my tablet. Not what I need this morning!

Morning, up at 5:45.

A longtime colleague, my age, unexpectedly and suddenly passed away on Friday, I found out yesterday and the shock is still with me.

After all the snow and stress last week it was nice to get out yesterday. Cabin fever had begun. My son called and that helped a lot. Depression sucks!
Seeing therapist before picking up a friend for the noon meeting.
I accomplished some Christmas shopping online last night. I still have not begun dusting or decorating and I’m ok with that. Haven’t got into the holiday spirit. I recognize I have way to many expectations of myself and resentments brewing.
I’m sorry about your colleague Dragon. That is a hard shock to process.

A tolerable Tuesday to all.

So sorry to hear about your colleague Dragon. When people unexpectedly pass, it's always a shock. Especially when they are our age. It's a reminder that life is finite, and we never know when the parade will end. Helps us to appreciate each and every 24 hours even more, I think.

Glad you are able to get out Imvalentine. Cabin fever this early in the season must be stressful. I agree that I have no Christmas fervor yet, and it's just around the corner. I think that happens when US Thanksgiving is so late in the month.

Storm moved fifty miles east of us yesterday, so nothing but flurries. No disappointed, as winter hasn't even started yet.

Have a good day all!

5:00 AM

Yesterday was unsettling but I was glad to be out anyway. My therapist is really pushing to get on antidepressants. I have to go anyway for regular check up and will talk about it. I will see what happens.

1st day of P/T job and have normal anxiety. DIL’s driving privileges end Thursday. She had a random UA for alcohol Monday. She smokes a lot of pot so I don’t know what will happen there. I foresee a meltdown ahead.
I sound awfully dreary bright and early!

A good Wednesday to all.

Imvalentine: best to you also...is your son involved with DIL? No smoking pot in my house. When visiting my son I asked him to return me to the airport when he said he was going to smoke while I was there. That set him straight for my visit, just for the visit.

Early riser. Crisp windy morning. I feel tired and blah because of my excess weight and having been sick.

Doing great being sober and truly working on recovery.

Stabbing by student, shooting by police at local high school. No deaths thank goodness.

Not sure what I'm up to today. But it will be sober.

Good morning, STDragon, so sorry to hear about your colleague, very shocking and sending you prayers.
Imvalentine, family can be complex and draining, especially if children, grown or adult are involved. Sending you prayers too.
Another rainy day here, some calls, errands, riding if weather permits and of course job search.
Have a good and safe day all.

Up early to make a healthy smoothie for my 14 year old daughter whom refuses to eat breakfast otherwise. She drank it on the way to school.

Lots to do on a day off but not super motivated yet. Hopefully, I will find it soon. I no longer beat myself up for not doing tons on my days off. I try to listen to my body more, and if it is not feeling it, there probably is a good reason why.

Have a good day all!

I'm not up early (it's actually evening where I am), but I wanted to drop in and say "hi" to the early risers.
Very sorry about your friend, Dragon.

Thank you for stopping by...I was warmly welcomed here...pull up a chair and sit a while.

Up early after bed early...still difficult eating right before sleeping...and too much of each.

Spurts of good recovery and then stuck in the muddy ruts...11 full weeks today.

You early-risers you just plain Rock....seriously

5:30 am up at usual time, tho I wouldn't mind being able to get up a bit earlier and stretch out the morning.

Seminar today, so no work. Free breakfast and lunch.

6:00ish AM

Was up earlier for a couple of hours but had plenty of sleep. Work was fine. It’s an old union sheet metal shop. Very laid back and comfortable. Reminds me of the Post Office maintenance shop and my Father weirdly enough.
We live 40 miles away from CO where pot is legal. I honestly don’t care if it’s used outside of course or ate inside. I’d rather that than booze. I don’t use it cause I’m dingy enough and my appetite is just fine.
I’m blasting DIL out to indulge with me. Cupcake ladies have a shop now and I must have one or two!

A good Thursday to all.

Welcome OOTT!
Big congrats on 11 weeks Wisc!
Best of luck on the interviews melski.
Enjoy the free meals and seminars Dragon.

Beginning another week of mostly working until midnights, so no early rising for me. Naturally, I will follow along as always.

Have a good day all!
