Can't believe it is snowing already Imvalentine! No thanks!

Melski and Ringo, I saw on the news stores throwing out food because of no power for their refrigeration. What do people do whom need things like CPAPs and other medical equipment do in this situation? Is it mainly rural areas that are affected?

Up at 0300.

The town in which I live has its own power company (we do not rely on PG&E) so fortunately we had power. Also, fire danger is fairly low; it's an island with a few parks but no forest.

Very grateful: no fire, no snow, temps rarely below 40. But we do have droughts and earthquakes.

Hoo boy! wonderful solid sleep. We are experiencing the most intense winter storm ever this early in October. Generally, we get a little snow by Halloween, this is crazy! Gusts of 70 to 80 km/h with 10 to 25 cm of wet snow! Temps are forecasted to stay above zero with Sunny and +8 by next Thursday. Then more snow! It's going to be a mess!

Woke to alarm. I was up about an hour earlier and thankfully went back to sleep.
Dragon-sounds like WY. Keep that stuff up there!
Snow here has melted off already. Put off taking friend till today due to snow and wind yesterday morning. I must unhappily get moving early now.

Happy Friday to all.

The whole power outage thing has everyone very upset. People who depend on home medical equipment hopefully have back up generators but of course many do not.
And we got 12 hours notice about it which was even worse.
Ringo, glad where you live where there is an alternative.
Up at the usual 5 am today for work, coffee ect.
Wishing you all a great day.

Yes, much for which to be grateful.

Dragon, you're man enough to handle that weather!

Up at 0400.

The irony of global warming is that the most dangerous and intense storms ever now form. The old rules are out the window. You folks with seven months of winter are far more stoic than I am.

Keep fighting the good fight everyone!

Woke up at 5:15 and laid in bed until six. Up drinking coffee and reading SR before work.

Feeling low energy mentally and physically. SAD and the following relentless alcohol thoughts are draining. Hopefully turning the corner soon and getting my mood stabilized.

At least I am not shoveling snow this morning! (Sorry Dragon!)

Welcome wiscober!

I have seen you around in my travels around SR. This is a great thread with people whom either choose to get up early, or are forced to do so, lol!

Best wishes in your recovery journey!

Hi wiscsober and welcome.
Woke to alarm. It was going off in my dream I can’t remember now. Wish I was still snoozing.
Long day at work and middle Gkids get together after.
I’m looking forward to bed already!

A safe sober Saturday to all.

Morning! up at 7am, but lazed in bed until 8. Dog fed & out for pee. Poor thing, the snow is up to his shoulders but he insists on going into the uncleared parts.

A couple of branches on my back yard tree broke, including a big one that was resting on the roof when I went to bed. Tree service has been called. Luckily no damage.

Got stuck in the driveway last night so we shoveled it out! Gonna go shovel dads later today. suppose to be a football home game on this afternoon, should be interesting. More snow and rain on it's way.

Welcome Wiscober!

Not ready for snow!
We had a colder night, but, the week is going to stay in the 60° range. Just as long as it is sunny!
