No more shaking since Saturday!
It's been quite a while since we had an earthquake so it was surprising.
Up early as usual for work.
Getting bloodwork done for upcoming Dr.s appointment, work, horses and yoga today.
A happy & healthy Monday to you all.

I played snooze alarm at 6:00. I havenít done that in years and it felt good. No swirling mind to start the day.
melski do you go to a yoga class or have the discipline to do it at home?
Classes right now donít work with my schedule. My self discipline is lacking these days with yoga.

A great Monday to all.

Imvalentine, I go to a hot yoga studio close by but have also done online yoga and liked it a lot.
Gaia is my favorite site for this and they have other types of exercise too.
I also like Essentrics/Classical stretch which is also an online program.
All good...

Didn't get a wink of sleep last night. Dragged myself out of bed at 5:30, can't wait to get this day over with so I can go back to bed.

I hate that Dragon. I start staring at the clock and doing the math about how much sleep I will get if I don't fall asleep by X time. Of course, this just riles me up and exacerbates the problem. Hopefully, you can crash early tonight. I think a lot of us are suffering from sleep issues this time of year.

Melski, I am glad the ground has stopped shaking. Once in a while, Mother Nature shakes us up to remind us how is in charge.

Have a good day all!

Woke before the alarm. Sleep issues are the pits and thinking turns to stressing over how many hours you got. Itís an endless cycle.
Busy day. 2 appointments and visiting son before 2 hours at work.
Thanks for the info melski. Iím in a definite yoga slump.

A good Tuesday to all.

Morning, sorry about the sleep problems Dragon.
It makes everything seem harder for sure.
Can you trace it back to anything? A stressful conversation, caffeine later in the day?
Sometimes it can't be fathomed though.
First call shortly at 5:30 PST.
Day 114 today for me...

Not a perfect sleep, but I slept. yay. Sleepy time tea and relaxation music helped. I could easily sleep a few more hours.

I just love Sleepytime Tea and I add a tea bag of Chamomile, too! I always have an extra cup on my nightstand for when I wake up in the night. I really have a hard time staying asleep.

I have the same problem. Being the age that I am, I am getting up once or twice a night as it is. Sometimes it takes me quite a while to fall back to sleep. Even today, woke up at six on a day off, still feeling pretty exhausted, and could not fall back asleep. I don't like missing sleeping opportunities on my weekend.

Have a good day all!

Seems like sleep is getting better for me in sobriety but never been a great sleeper in general.
I have (sober) friends who sleep like crazy and can nap and regularly sleep until noon on the weekends.
So not me...
Happy Wednesday all. We are on a power outage watch here with our utilities company for the next five days.
Supposedly to prevent the wild fires we had last year due to high winds and power lines.

When I first stopped drinking, all I could do was sleep. And I loved it! no more getting up in the middle of night, no more sweat soaked bed clothes and bed sheets. It was just perfect cozy sleep. For months and months after that, I'd come here and talk about how much I love early mornings. Up before the mice. Now tho, it's mostly early to bed, sleep well, dam alarm, I don't wana get up get *hit snooze bar*. But occasionally I have those nights were I either can't get to sleep or I wake up every hour looking at the clock. I guess that's just normal sober life! Can't appreciate a good nights sleep unless you've had some bad nights too.

Sometime after 5:30 AM
Discombobulated over dream I was having so I wrote it down in a sleep stupor.
Woke up to SNOW also. I had planned to sleep in and enjoy being cozy before work at 4:00 and it isnít going to happen. Friend needs to take care of her car title. It was totaled Monday but she is ok. My best laid selfish plans are kaput.

A safe sober snowy Thursday to all.
